About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Little Hands Inc. as a Childcare Professional. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Create and implement engaging and educational programs for children, including storytelling, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities.
  • Child Care and Supervision: Provide high-quality care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues, parents, and community service providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of children's progress, including observations, reports, and other relevant information.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, including maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in early childhood education and teaching.
  • Certifications: Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
  • Personal Qualities: Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, reliability, team player, values and ethics, creativity, and honesty.
