Overview:
The Extrusion Machine Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of personnel engaged in the setup and operation of extrusion machinery, ensuring compliance with established protocols, guidelines, and client specifications. This role reports directly to the Extrusion Department Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising, coordinating, and scheduling the tasks of Plastic Processing Extruding Machine Operators who manage the setup and operation of extrusion machines.
- Developing and implementing methods to achieve production schedules while coordinating activities with other departments.
- Addressing operational challenges and proposing strategies to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Facilitating training for staff on job responsibilities, safety protocols, and company regulations.
- Providing recommendations for personnel decisions, including hiring and promotions.
- Compiling production reports and other relevant documentation.
- Possibly setting up and operating one or more extrusion machines that produce plastic composite products through various nozzles or dies.
Requirements:
- A completed Secondary Education with a Diploma or equivalent experience is required.
- Post-secondary education in scientific fields or plastics technology is advantageous.
- Several years of experience as a Plastic Processing Extruding Machine Operator in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- A willingness to acquire new skills and participate in in-house training and apprenticeship programs is beneficial. Kostklip offers on-the-job training.
- Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and object-oriented skills are essential.
- Security and Safety: a medical examination and criminal background check are required.
- Language proficiency: English.
Work Environment Conditions:
The work is conducted in a controlled indoor environment where temperature and humidity levels may fluctuate significantly in certain areas. The work environment can be noisy and dusty.
