Role Overview:
As a member of the Global Capital Markets division, the Equity Research Associate Internship is tailored for undergraduate and graduate students, providing exposure to various facets of the investment landscape.
In this role, you will support Equity Research Analysts by conducting essential financial analyses, including market comparisons, company valuations, and financial modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial models and industry databases.
- Create visual representations such as tables and graphs for research publications and presentations.
- Conduct primary research utilizing industry and financial resources.
- Draft reports on companies and industries.
- Prepare marketing presentations using PowerPoint.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who:
- Are currently pursuing post-secondary education.
- Have a passion for learning and envision a future with an international organization.
- Engage in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, competitions, or hackathons.
- Exhibit a strong academic record.
- Possess strong analytical, accounting, and mathematical skills.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Are proficient in Excel.
- Can thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
While not mandatory, the following skills would be advantageous:
- Familiarity with Bloomberg or FactSet.
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course.
- Interest in pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
