Grandview Kids is a leading provider of specialized programs and services for children and youth with physical, communication, and developmental needs. We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist at Grandview Kids, you will work with clients and their families to identify and address problem areas, develop treatment plans, and provide evidence-informed care. You will also participate in quality management activities, collaborate with other organizations, and contribute to the development of our programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients with physical, communication, and developmental needs
  • Provide occupational therapy services, including use of Applied Behaviour Analysis Principles and Strategies
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including physiotherapists, speech-language pathologists, and social workers
  • Participate in quality management activities, including data collection and analysis
  • Contribute to the development of our programs and services, including the design of new programs and services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy assessment and treatment principles related to paediatrics
  • Knowledge of home renovations, complex equipment, and transition to adult services
  • Knowledge of equipment, adaptive devices, and standardized tests
  • Specialized knowledge of paediatric disabilities, including Cerebral Palsy and Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis
  • Experience supporting children with sensory processing difficulties
  • Strong consultation and conceptual analysis skills
  • Bilingual (French) is an asset
