Technical Assistant for Construction Oversight

Key Responsibilities
- Offer technical guidance to assist Site Managers and Supervisors in their roles, from initiating submission requests to project completion;
- Facilitate communication between the construction site and the DIT, ensuring adherence to defined roles and responsibilities;
- Oversee the implementation of construction activities in line with project plans and specifications;
- Engage in the development of a new 300-25KV substation;
- Thoroughly understand the project by reviewing contractual documents to identify and report any discrepancies or issues;
- Act as the primary technical resource on-site;
- Coordinate site operations and manage contract-related tasks;
- Contribute to preliminary work for line departures;
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering;
- Registered member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec as a licensed Engineer;
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a comparable role;
- Experience in supervising electrical work on-site is advantageous;
- Familiarity with substations, transmission lines, and/or power generation facilities is a plus;
- Proficient in using computer applications and MS Office suite;
- Willingness to travel to the site weekly across the Province;
- Possession of a Construction ASP card;
- Valid Class 5 driver's license;
- Fluent in both spoken and written French;
Working Conditions
- Standard 40-hour work week;
- Contract duration extends from March to December;
