About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at LE RENOVATION LTD. As a key member of our renovation team, you will be responsible for installing high-quality tile surfaces in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and Apply Adhesives: Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel to ensure a strong bond between tiles and the base.
  • Prepare Plans and Sketches: Prepare rough plans and sketches to visualize the tile layout and ensure a seamless installation process.
  • Set Tiles in Place: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base, ensuring a secure and even installation.
  • Align and Straighten Tiles: Align and straighten tiles to ensure a precise and professional finish.
  • Cut and Fit Tiles: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools to achieve a seamless fit.
  • Pack Grout and Remove Excess: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout to create a clean and polished finish.
  • Remove and Replace Cracked Tiles: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles to maintain the integrity of the installation.
  • Lay and Set Mosaic Tiles: Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
  • Estimate Costs and Materials: Estimate costs and materials required for the installation, ensuring accurate budgeting and planning.
  • Mix, Lay, and Polish Terra Surfaces: Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Install Tile Strips: Install tile strips to create a seamless transition between different tile surfaces.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in tile installation.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
  • Support for Youths: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
