About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter-Builder to join our team at Iron Home Renovation Inc. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure accurate execution.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials, to build and renovate residential and commercial structures.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems, ensuring stability and safety.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, paying attention to detail and quality.
  • Train and supervise apprentices, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including industrial plants and other establishments.
Work Environment
  • Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments, requiring physical stamina and adaptability.
  • Collaborate with a team of 1-2 people, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Operate hand tools and equipment, ensuring efficient and safe work practices.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Accurate, client-focused, and efficient interpersonal skills, with a strong sense of judgement and reliability.
  • Punctuality and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Will train and adapt to new situations and technologies.
