We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full-Time Mental Health Registered Nurse to join our team in Esquimalt, British Columbia, Canada.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse who is looking for a Monday - Friday career opportunity with day shifts only (no nights, no weekends), and who is ready for an exciting challenge working with an extremely unique and rewarding patient population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Mental Health services to clients in a primary health care setting
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop care plans for clients
  • Conduct crisis intervention and counseling sessions using CBT, DVT, or motivational interview techniques
  • Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments and medication management from inpatient and outpatient perspectives
Requirements
  • Registered Nurses or Registered Psychiatric Nurses
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized college or university
  • Certificate in Mental Health Nursing or certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA)
  • Registered Nurse license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice
  • Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent
