Civil Engineering Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Technician to join our team at HC Matcon Inc. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings, and participate in field surveys, inspections, or technical investigations.
- Project Coordination: Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements, and supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations, and testing of construction materials.
- Computer and Technology: Utilize MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word to manage and analyze data, communicate with team members, and create presentations.
- Civil Engineering Experience: Gain experience in various civil engineering projects, including buildings and structures, roads and highways, tunnels and subways, sewers and sewage treatment facilities, airports, bridges and overpasses, and port and harbor projects.
- Transportation and Travel: Possess a valid driver's license, own transportation, and be willing to travel as required.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, handle heavy loads, and maintain attention to detail while working in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments.
- Personal Suitability: Demonstrate initiative, be organized, and work effectively as a team player.
- Experience: Possess 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
