Job Title: Construction Trades Helper

We are seeking a skilled Construction Trades Helper to join our team at Jagir Contracting Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will assist in various aspects of construction projects, including loading and transporting materials, erecting scaffolding, and mixing and pouring concrete.

Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, and other construction equipment
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Pave and rake asphalt
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements:
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Physically demanding
  • Tight deadlines
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Handling heavy loads
  • Overtime required
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Experience an asset
Work Environment:

Our construction sites are located outdoors, at heights, and underground. You will be working in a dusty environment and will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

35 to 40 hours per week.
