Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Indian Street Food Inc. as a key member of our culinary operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient food preparation and service
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
    • Prepare and submit reports on food quality and inventory
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
    • Ensure that customer service standards are met
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales and inventory
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys
    • Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
    • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods
    • Physically demanding
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client focus and excellent oral communication skills
    • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
    • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing situations
