Job Summary:

Marcomm Integrated Business Solutions, a leading provider of telecommunications infrastructure services, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our commercial security installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and professional installation and maintenance of security systems for our clients in the Ottawa area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and maintenance of security systems, including CCTV, card access, public address, intrusion panel, and intercom systems.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN networks.
  • Providing technical support and training to clients on system usage.
  • Completing accurate and detailed paperwork.
  • Performing other tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in security system installation or as a service technician.
  • High school education with a preference for post-secondary education in security, electronics, or information technology.
  • Certifications in Kantech, I3, TOA, AXIS, and key scan or card access would be an asset.
  • Networking and IP knowledge.
  • Data and voice networks and telephony experience would be an asset.
  • Good physical ability.
  • Health and safety orientation.
  • Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working at heights and fall arrest certification would be an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment online criminal background check.
  • Reliability or secret clearance would be considered an asset.
