About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Daycare Worker to join our team at Tender Touch Daycare. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Activities: Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local attractions.
  • Assist Educators: Support our early childhood educators in maintaining accurate records and ensuring the smooth operation of our daycare.
  • Encourage Creativity: Foster a love of art, music, and physical activity in our children, and provide opportunities for them to express themselves.
  • Guide Children: Assist children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Prepare Meals and Environments: Prepare healthy snacks and arrange the daycare environment to promote relaxation and rest.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and any challenges that may arise.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the health, security, and well-being of our children by creating a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Plan Activities for School-Age Children: Develop and implement activities that cater to the needs of school-age children in our care.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform tasks that require attention to detail and repetition, such as preparing meals and maintaining the daycare environment.
  • Combination of Sitting, Standing, and Walking: Move around the daycare to engage with children and perform various tasks.

  • Punctuality: Ensure timely arrival and departure to maintain a consistent and reliable presence.
  • Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Develop strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a positive and supportive environment.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to changing circumstances and priorities to ensure the smooth operation of the daycare.
  • Interpersonal Awareness: Demonstrate empathy and understanding in interactions with children, parents, and colleagues.
