Public Health Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Public Health Nurse to join our team at the Lac La Ronge Indian Band. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of our community members.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive health programs in schools and community settings
- Conduct assessments and provide education to clients on prenatal and postnatal care
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide direct care and promote healthy lifestyles
- Act as a client advocate and liaison between LLRIBHS and other agencies
- Travel to outlying communities to provide public health programming
- Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Previous Public Health and/or Acute Care experience is an asset
- Ability to speak/or understand Cree is a definite asset
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills
- Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office
