We are seeking a compassionate and caring Public Health Nurse to join our team at the Jeannie Bird Clinic in La Ronge. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients and promoting healthy lifestyles in our community.
About the Role- Assess and address the health needs of clients, providing education and support to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Develop and implement comprehensive health programs in schools and community settings.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and community members to identify and address health concerns.
- Provide pre and postnatal care, as well as communicable disease control and tuberculosis programming.
- Promote healthy lifestyles and health promotion through education and community outreach.
- Act as a client advocate and liaison between our organization and other agencies.
- Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).
- Previous Public Health and/or Acute Care experience is an asset.
- Experience working with First Nations Communities is an asset.
- Ability to speak or understand Cree is a definite asset.
- Ability to work as a team member and travel to outlying communities.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills.
- Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
