Job Summary:

Affinity Group is seeking a highly skilled Technical Solution Architect to join our team and work on the EMR Modernization project with the Innovation and eHealth Enterprise Architecture team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Provincial EMR Program and RHA EMR Modernization initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical blueprints for digital health initiatives and solutions.
  • Establish technical requirements, standards, and guiding principles for digital health initiatives and solutions.
  • Assist in the development of one or more Request for Proposal (RFP) documents supporting EMR initiatives and assist in the planning and implementation of the solutions.

Requirements:

  • A University degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of IM/IT experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) or more years of demonstrated experience as a lead Technical/Solution Architect on medium to large system development or COTS implementation projects in healthcare, obtained in the last ten (10) years.
  • Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience leading technical design and technical requirements gathering sessions in healthcare solutions in a Canadian jurisdiction.
  • Experience in projects related to EMR/EHR and FHIR standards is an asset.
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience in the development of technical deliverables.
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience working within multi-vendor teams is an asset.
  • 3 years of demonstrated experience in security relating to data confidentiality and client privacy issues in application design and development.
  • 3 years of demonstrated experience with a significant data transformation and data migration component.
  • 3 years of demonstrated experience working with the Canada Health Infoway EHR and HIAL Blueprint, as well as experience with EMR projects in a Canadian jurisdiction is an asset.
  • French language competency is an asset.

Hourly Rate: $120 per hour.
