Job Summary

EVRAZ North America is seeking an experienced Millwright to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heavy industrial equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain heavy industrial equipment and machinery
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
  • Document and record maintenance activities and repairs
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance processes and equipment performance

Requirements

  • Qualified as Journeyman Level Millwright
  • Experience using all sizes of air impact, pipe fitting tools and equipment, hoists, cutting torches and welding equipment
  • 4 years of experience in Heavy Industrial Plant Maintenance, preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
  • Aptitude for setting up, tearing down, and rebuilding machinery and equipment
  • Ability to operate mobile and bridge cranes
  • Forklift operation
  • Demonstrates knowledge and ability to use computer programs
  • Excellent written, oral communication and organizational skills
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Basic math skills, some exposure to Geometry, Trigonometry preferred
  • Successful completion of ergonomics evaluation
  • Specific Training on Bearing Maintenance and hydraulic components preferred
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools (vibration analysis, thermographic imaging, ultra sound, laser alignment, etc.), preferred
