Software Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to join our team at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG). As a key member of our global Platforms & Innovation department, you will play a critical role in developing technology solutions for our business in the USA, Canada, and Europe.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a technical advisor on Defined Contribution (DC) technology solutions to meet the demands of the future.
- Oversee or participate in technology solution decisions and review or create technical specifications.
- Contribute to product management and innovation initiative discussions and presentations.
- Project management including monitoring, assigning, and prioritizing work.
- Business analysis and problem-solving skills including communicating solutions effectively.
- Satisfying documentation and administration requirements within the team.
- Keeping up to date with technology, regulatory issues, and Defined Contribution business practices for Canada.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in software development, project management, and business analysis. You should have a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Key skills and qualifications include:
- Strong analytical skills combined with DC technology solution delivery experience.
- Previous experience participating in technology solutions decisions and any experience leading software development teams.
- BSc in computer science or equivalent technology bachelor's degree.
- Experience working on and making technology decisions for the BASIS product suite.
- 3+ years' experience as a lead software engineer or software architect on a Microsoft Technology stack.
- 9+ years' overall experience working with and managing software development with a recent exposure to a SQL Server, Oracle, COBOL, DNN and ASP.NET-based application portfolio.
