About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer/Building Engineer to join our team at CanMar Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of building structures to ensure they are safe, functional, and compliant with local codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Analysis: Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and drawings that meet local building codes and safety standards.
- Structural Assessments: Conduct structural assessments and evaluations of existing buildings to determine their condition and compliance with current codes and regulations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals to ensure that designs are feasible and meet project requirements.
- Construction Oversight: Oversee and review construction processes to ensure that structural elements are built according to specifications and standards.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support during the construction phase, addressing any structural issues or challenges that arise.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed reports and documentation related to structural designs, evaluations, and construction activities.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in structural engineering, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
