About the Job

Villaguer Construction Ltd is seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team. As a Drywall Taper, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to ensure a smooth and even surface.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
  • Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
  • Utilize laser alignment system
Work Environment

This is a commercial/residential drywall installation position that requires working at heights, in dusty environments, and standing for extended periods. You will be required to work in various locations and may be required to travel.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Dependability, excellent oral communication, reliability, and team player skills
