About the Forklift Operator Role

XPO is a leading global provider of transportation services, with a highly integrated network of people, technology, and physical assets. As a Forklift Operator at XPO, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods and materials within our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Freight Handling: Safely sort, handle, load, and unload palletized and non-palletized freight, using appropriate motorized and manual equipment.
  • Warehouse Operations: Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing errors.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to achieve operational goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Physical Demands: Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 70 lbs.). Safely walk and stand for extended periods on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a warehouse or transportation environment is an asset.
