About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fiscal Policy Specialist to join our team at Volvo Group. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations across all entities related to our group in Canada and the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and document information for the preparation of tax returns and compliance reports for entities under your responsibility;
  • Research and document information for the preparation of annual tax returns;
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and implement these changes in the production of reports for entities;
  • Prepare required documentation and tools to support government agency audits and respond to auditor inquiries;
  • Update transfer pricing and ensure related documentation is maintained;
  • Ensure compliance with tax application through internal controls and monitor relevant processes;
  • Be responsible for the integrity of tax accounts on the balance sheet;
  • Support various stakeholders across the organization and respond to inquiries and questions beyond your own function;
  • Prepare monthly and annual tax provisions;
  • Suggest improvements to monthly and annual closing processes;
  • Participate in various projects aimed at compliance, standards, and required norms.
