Job Summary

The General Supervisor - Parts Distribution Center will lead the execution of the business operational plan for the Montreal Parts Distribution Center (PDC). This role is responsible for fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, teamwork, and cooperation among a small to medium-sized team of employees engaged in parts distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve business objectives, including improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of employees, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments and business units to implement best practices, resolve problems, and sustain consistent performance to objectives.
  • Participate in employee relations activities, including recruitment, selection, and discipline, to ensure a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service and support.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, including productivity, quality, and safety, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure the PDC remains competitive and compliant.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as business administration, operations management, or supply chain management.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a first-line supervisor in a warehousing or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving business objectives, improving operational efficiency, and reducing costs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of employees.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Fluency in both English and French.
