Role Responsibilities
The course instructor will play a vital role in the effective delivery of classroom sessions and the oversight of online learning components for the program. Collaboration with the Program Coordinator and the Continuing Education Program Manager is essential to ensure that learners achieve the course objectives.
- Thoroughly review course materials ahead of time to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the content, enabling you to address learner inquiries effectively.
- Organize and conduct assigned classroom sessions, adhering to quality standards and utilizing approved templates and materials.
- Foster student engagement during classroom activities.
- Encourage questions regarding course content, format, and assignments, providing constructive feedback and support during discussions.
- Assist students who may be struggling, offering remediation as necessary throughout the course.
- Oversee the use of equipment and materials during the course, ensuring respectful usage by students.
- Supervise the administration of assessment activities.
- Maintain course quality by reviewing student feedback and making recommendations for improvements as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of current or recent experience in critical care nursing.
- Previous teaching or mentorship experience is preferred.
- Current certification in Critical Care Nursing from the Canadian Nursing Association.
- Active registration with the College of Nursing Ontario.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and proficiency in the field, including adapting to changes in competency requirements.
Additional Information
