Work Settings
  • Various locations including commercial, institutional, and residential sites.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel.
  • Install or replace roofing materials including asphalt shingles, wood shingles, shakes, and masonry or baked clay tiles on sloped roofs.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or masonry surfaces.
  • Erect and install scaffolding and other working platforms.
  • Remove debris and rubble from construction sites.
  • Maintain and clean equipment used in roofing tasks.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Tasks may require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination is essential.
  • Ability to manage a large workload and work under pressure.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Repetitive tasks are part of the job.
