Job Summary:
VCA Canada is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician, RVT to join our team at Bedford Parks Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our veterinarians and other staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and patient recovery.
- Conduct physical examinations, patient assessments, and take vital signs.
- Administer medications, perform venipuncture, and collect blood samples.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients and their owners.
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, veterinarians, and pet owners.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and technologies.
