We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team at the EHN Meewasin Complex Needs Emergency Facility. This facility caters to individuals with specialized needs, providing crucial services to those requiring emergency shelter support.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive care and support to clients facing complex mental health challenges.
Responsibilities- Provide case management, clinical treatment, and therapy for clients with trauma, PTSD, and co-occurring mental health and addiction issues using evidence-based modalities.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, and deliver psychoeducational content to enhance client understanding and coping skills.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and external providers to ensure comprehensive care planning and seamless transitions for patients.
- Conduct thorough assessments, set individualized treatment goals, and coordinate aftercare plans to support long-term recovery and well-being.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress and actively engage in professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in mental health and addiction treatment.
- Master's degree in Counselling, Social Work, or Psychotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated experience in group facilitation and mental health settings is highly preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various treatment modalities and a commitment to evidence-based practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively within a fast-paced environment, prioritizing client needs and maintaining composure under pressure.
- Professional development in mental health and addiction treatment is desirable.
