Join Our Team as a Primary Care Nurse
Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in providing essential healthcare services. This role is integral to the South East Urgent Primary Care Centre (UPCC), where you will play a vital role in enhancing community health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of nursing care for patients and their families.
- Foster collaborative relationships with primary care providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to deliver safe and effective patient care.
- Implement assessments and provide direct nursing care grounded in best practices.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Understanding Urgent and Primary Care Centres:
UPCCs are designed to deliver non-emergency medical care within a timely manner for various health conditions. Our multidisciplinary team comprises general practitioners, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and social workers, all working together to provide high-quality care.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Must hold current registration as a Registered Nurse in British Columbia.
- A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience or equivalent qualifications.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong critical thinking skills and commitment to safe patient care.
- In-depth knowledge of primary care principles and patient-centered care.
- Proficient in evidence-based clinical practices and patient education techniques.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work autonomously.
- Awareness of various health disciplines and the integration of research into practice.
- Physical capability to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
