Registered Care Aide

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Care Aide to join our team at Jubilee Lodge, a 66-bed facility attached to the University Hospital of Northern BC.
About the RoleAs a Registered Care Aide, you will provide resident care in accordance with our resident-centred care philosophy and established regional and facility policies and procedures. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team under the direction of the Manager or designate, performing nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration, as well as resident care duties relating to activities of daily living.
Responsibilities- Provide resident care in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Perform nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal, social, physical, and recreational needs
- Transport residents and perform clerical duties
As a Registered Care Aide with Northern Health Authority, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefit package, including extended health/dental and a municipal pension plan for part-time and full-time employees. You will also have access to four weeks of vacation with one year of continuous service, financial support for moving expenses, and employee referral programs.
Requirements- Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Registration number (if applicable)
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
