About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our team at A's General Contracting Inc. as an Administrative Assistant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Team Operations: Ensure the smooth flow of information within the team, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Staff Management: Direct and motivate staff members to achieve their best performance, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Operations Planning: Plan and organize daily operations, establishing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Scheduling and Appointments: Schedule and confirm appointments, manage contracts, and oversee the preparation of reports.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support, including data entry, typing, and proofreading correspondence, forms, and other documents.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews, assign, coordinate, and review projects and programs, and plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Possess strong computer and technology skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, perform repetitive tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience: Possess 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an administrative role, with a strong understanding of business operations and administrative procedures.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees, and facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
