We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Arvan Rehab Group. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their full potential and improve their quality of life.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with our residents to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on activities of daily living. This will involve conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and documenting progress notes in our electronic health record system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to address their needs.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive care and support for our residents.
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent falls and promote safe mobility among our residents.
  • Conduct feeding assessments and develop plans to support residents with feeding difficulties.
  • Participate in wound management and pain management initiatives, working closely with our physiotherapists and nursing staff.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and current ADP Authorizer status.
  • Professional License Insurance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Experience working in a long-term care home environment, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges of this population.
  • Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector.
