Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our Shipping team at Westlake. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts in our warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-shift inspections of forklifts and complete daily inspection forms
  • Operate equipment and machinery in accordance with safety procedures
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate material handling and storage
  • Monitor quality of materials and report any deficiencies to the Shipping Supervisor
  • Participate in department and company meetings, and contribute to mid-year and year-end inventory counts
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent education
  • Previous manufacturing experience is an asset, but not required
  • Forklift certification acquired through Company-sponsored training program
  • Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently
  • Good communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
