Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Balloon Pilot to escort groups on outdoor sport and recreational trips. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating hot air balloons, with excellent communication and navigation skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Escort Groups: Safely transport groups on outdoor sport and recreational trips, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience.
  • Operate Communication Devices: Utilize emergency communication devices to maintain contact with clients and other team members.
  • Navigation and Equipment Maintenance: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment to ensure safe and efficient flight operations, and perform routine maintenance on equipment to prevent malfunctions.
  • Legislation Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations, preventing any potential violations.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Hot Air Balloon Pilot Licence.
  • Aircraft Experience: Have extensive experience operating hot air balloons.
  • Guide Specialization: Be specialized in hot air ballooning.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Be able to work under pressure, handle heavy loads, and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods and bending, crouching, or kneeling.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Experience: Have previous experience in this field of employment.
  • Certifications: Possess the required certifications indicated above.
Work Environment

This is an on-the-road job, requiring the ability to work in various outdoor environments, including heights and hot temperatures.
