About This Role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team in Mississauga, Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing automated pipelines and DevOps toolsets to support large-scale applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automated pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, and AWS CDK.
  • Work closely with Solution Architects and Developer leads to design and deploy infrastructure in the cloud.
  • Develop and maintain DevOps standards and practices to build automation platforms that can build and deploy applications and infrastructure to AWS and Azure.
  • Provide training and education to teams on new cloud-based initiatives and DevOps tools and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver faster, more secure, and higher-quality applications using DevOps tools and processes.
  • Develop and maintain pipeline code in production, as well as designing and creating deployment pipelines, configuring tooling, and monitoring.
  • Ensure security standards and requirements are incorporated into all solutions.
  • Participate in DevSecOps operations, including implementing and reviewing security controls and artifacts on CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or Technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and similar DevOps platforms.
  • Experience with Infrastructure Configuration Automation tools such as Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, and AWS CDK.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, RDS, Lambda Functions, Fargate (ECS), IAM, S3, and more.
  • Strong DevOps background with a security and automation mindset.
  • Experience with software development life cycle processes.
  • Experience owning pipeline code in production, as well as designing and creating deployment pipelines, configuring tooling, and monitoring.
  • Experience with source code management tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in using and configuring build tools and orchestration such as Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, and Artifactory.
  • Knowledge of automated deployment and containerization tooling, as well as IaaS/PaaS/SaaS deployment and operations experience.
  • Knowledge of Static Code Analysis tools such as SonarQube and other similar tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud environments and tools.
  • Experienced programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
