About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Branch Administrator to join our team at CIBC Wood Gundy. As a key member of our branch operations team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Investment Advisors and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the branch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the hiring process for all support staff roles, including obtaining Head Office approval and participating in interviewing and selecting candidates.
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day branch operations and administration, including maintenance of office equipment and supplies, and coordination of office functions and events.
  • Identify opportunities for increased efficiency and monitor and control branch budget and expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Assist Branch Manager in performing Investment Advisor duties, such as taking buy/sell orders of T-Bills, Corporate Paper, Bankers Acceptances, Mutual Funds, stocks and bonds.
  • Ensure customer service standards and operational procedures are communicated and maintained by liaising among many departments within Wood Gundy.
Requirements
  • You have successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH), in order to obtain Investment Representative (IR) licensing.
  • You have strong organizational and administrative skills to deal with numerous activities in a fast-paced brokerage, with varying degrees of priority.
  • You are legally eligible to work at the location(s) specified above and, where applicable, must have a valid work or study permit.
