We are looking for a Pharmacy Support Specialist to become a vital part of our innovative pharmacy team. This position involves assisting in the management of all dispensing operations related to our specialized products.
Your contributions will include:
- Preparing pharmaceutical items according to seasonal guidelines;
- Utilizing vendor shipping software to generate waybills for designated locations;
- Ensuring shipments are dispatched to the correct destinations and adhere to delivery timelines;
- Supporting dispensing functions, including the preparation and labeling of medications;
- Assisting with inventory management tasks, such as receiving shipments and conducting weekly inventory counts;
- Addressing payment or medication coverage concerns with various payers, including insurance providers and patient support programs;
- Handling financial data, including data entry into software, invoice preparation, and maintaining patient accounts receivable;
- Engaging in communication with diverse stakeholders, including monitoring email correspondence and managing phone inquiries;
- Proactively tracking claims with issues to resolve them prior to patient dosing dates.
What you will bring to our organization:
- A college diploma in a Pharmacy Assistant program or a related field, or equivalent experience;
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a comparable position;
- Familiarity with Kroll in a pharmacy environment is advantageous;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities;
- Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness in a fast-paced setting;
- Proficiency in general computer use, including Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Strong numerical and calculation skills;
- Proven customer service expertise;
- Effective time management and organizational capabilities;
- Ability to independently solve problems, think critically, and make informed decisions;
- Flexibility to manage heavy and varying workloads;
- Capacity to meet strict deadlines;
- Ability to lift and organize inventory (5-10 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs occasionally);
- A commitment to continuous learning;
- A collaborative spirit to thrive in a team environment.
