This role will play a crucial part in ensuring cost-effective sourcing of goods and services while maintaining compliance with company policies.
As the Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic purchasing plans across various indirect categories. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and engaging with qualified suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts, and optimizing procurement processes to drive cost savings and enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:- Lead the sourcing and selection of suppliers for indirect goods and services, ensuring alignment with company requirements and best practices.
- Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies that minimize costs while maintaining high quality standards.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, safeguarding the company's interests and securing competitive pricing.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide expert guidance on sourcing solutions.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to company purchasing policies and procedures, promoting ethical and transparent procurement practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a buyer or category manager in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to secure favorable contract terms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant procurement software.
