Position Title: Custodial Technician II (Part-Time)
Shift Schedule: Friday to Sunday (9:30 PM - 6:00 AM)
Reporting To: Janitorial Supervisor
Core Responsibilities:
The Custodial Technician II is responsible for performing cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure that facilities are kept in a hygienic, safe, and orderly condition. Duties include:
- Utilizing equipment such as auto scrubbers and burnishers to wash, scrub, and polish floors.
- Cleaning windows that are over 12 feet high using appropriate tools.
- Managing waste disposal, including heavy garbage removal and compactor operation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through mopping, vacuuming, and buffing.
- Sanitize washroom facilities, ensuring all surfaces are disinfected and supplies are replenished.
- Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, and surfaces, ensuring a tidy environment.
- Empty waste and recycling bins, properly sorting materials for disposal.
- Organize and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment for safety and efficiency.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks and assist with furniture movement as necessary.
- Be available for overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays.
- Adhere to company policies and safety protocols.
- Contribute to quality assurance efforts and participate in achieving departmental goals.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required by the department.
Essential Qualifications:
- Familiarity with standard cleaning practices, chemicals, and equipment.
- Ability to operate specialized cleaning machinery.
- Mechanical skills and the ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to hazardous materials.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Eligibility to obtain necessary security clearances.
