We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Sechelt Saffron Restaurant Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Kitchen Helper will assist our culinary team in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, receiving and storing supplies, and performing various tasks to support the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist in preparing ingredients, such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, performing repetitive tasks under pressure.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Requirements:
  • Reliability and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
Working Conditions:

The Kitchen Helper will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, and cleaning chemicals.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

The Kitchen Helper will work 35 hours per week, with a regular schedule to be determined.
