Senior Electronics Engineer

About the Role:

The Senior Electronics Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the electronics driving our medical devices. This role will also be involved in all aspects of a medical device's lifecycle, from design to production and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop electronic systems, including power circuits, conforming to applicable IEC 60601 standards.
  2. Maintain comprehensive design documentation in accordance with quality system requirements.
  3. Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and validation.
  4. Design and develop prototypes for future features and products.
  5. Plan and participate in the execution of safety and performance testing to satisfy applicable standards.
  6. Collaborate with embedded software developers on hardware/firmware integration and test engineering on verification activities.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
  2. 10+ years of practical experience in a regulated industry, preferably in the medical device industry.
  3. 10+ years of experience with circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB design using ECAD tools.
  4. Proven experience with debugging techniques for embedded systems using soldering and common electronics tools.
  5. Experience with revision control systems.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  1. Strong fundamental knowledge of mixed-signal circuits and multi-layer PCB design.
  2. Strong understanding of complex integrated electro-mechanical systems and embedded software.
  3. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
  4. Strong organization skills with attention to detail.
  5. Knowledge of the following standards: IEC 60601, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304.
  6. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products.

Work Environment:

The Senior Electronics Engineer will primarily work in an office environment with occasional exposure to production work rooms. Some local travel may be required.
