Physiotherapist - Rehabilitation Services Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients who present with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.
The successful candidate will provide physiotherapy services in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings, and will be required to communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, patients, and their families. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
About YouWe are looking for a highly qualified Physiotherapist with a Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university. Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists is also required.
The ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills, including proficiency in statistics input, word processing, and Outlook. Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS) is also a requirement.
We welcome candidates with competencies in other languages, with French being an asset.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities
- Develop and implement treatment plans to address patient needs
- Provide physiotherapy services in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, patients, and their families
- Supervise and evaluate physiotherapy students and assistants
This is a permanent part-time position, with 20% FTE and 15 hours bi-weekly.
Compensation and BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $42.89, as well as eligibility for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
