The Role: Senior Data Engineer - Customer Portfolio
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our customer-centric applications. You will be responsible for building robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and optimizing data performance to support critical business functions.
Your Responsibilities:
- Implement data solutions and capabilities within the customer portfolio of applications, ensuring optimal data flow and accessibility.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and processing workflows to guarantee data integrity across systems and establish a single source of truth for governed data.
- Integrate data from diverse sources, including databases, data warehouses, APIs, and external systems, ensuring seamless data connectivity.
- Establish and enforce data quality standards and conduct rigorous analysis to maintain consistency and accuracy across integrated systems.
- Transform raw data into usable formats by applying data cleansing, aggregation, filtering, and enrichment techniques.
- Define and implement governance policies and procedures for data pipelines, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timely delivery of data to meet business needs.
- Monitor and fine-tune data solutions, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks. Implement caching and indexing strategies to enhance data performance.
- Integrate data quality checks and validations within data pipelines to guarantee the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data in transit between systems.
- Document and maintain comprehensive data object mapping across systems, ensuring clear understanding and traceability of data flows.
Your Qualifications:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer with a proven track record in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines. You possess a deep understanding of data warehousing principles, ETL processes, and data quality management.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience with SQL and other database technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts and best practices.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
