Manufacturing Line Operator

Job Overview
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the ideal candidate will oversee the operation of the production line. This role involves managing machinery, ensuring the correct feeding of raw materials throughout the manufacturing process, troubleshooting line interruptions, clearing equipment blockages, verifying that finished goods meet quality standards, and preparing products for distribution.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Comply with safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Assess raw materials and finished products according to quality benchmarks
- Perform quality inspections at designated intervals
- Operate manufacturing machinery following established work guidelines
- Utilize counterbalance and propane-powered forklifts
- Record waste and downtime metrics in the system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Undertake additional tasks as required
Required Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in industrial manufacturing or construction preferred
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Manual dexterity is essential
- Strong attention to detail
- Capability to follow directions and specific guidelines
- Effective communication skills; proficiency in English - reading, writing, and speaking
Physical Demands:
- Must be capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds regularly
- Personal protective equipment, including hard hats, safety footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves, must be worn at all times in the production area
This position is a full-time, unionized, permanent role.
