Manufacturing Operations Assistant

Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Operations Assistant will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate inventory of raw materials in the plant, guaranteeing sufficient and timely supply to production lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze discrepancies in raw materials and finished goods
- Stay up-to-date with production reports and ensure accuracy in the MRP system (JE Edwards)
- Prepare reconciliation reports from various sources
- Conduct daily inventory tracking and adjustments
- Perform daily and weekly finished goods cycle counts
- Monthly inventory for raw materials and finished goods
- Raw material inventory preparation, count sheet creation, and upload in JDE
- Process work orders and closure on a weekly basis
- Communicate effectively with Purchasing, Customer Service, and Planning teams for orders and inventory numbers
- Maintain meticulous manual filing
Requirements:
- College Diploma in Supply Chain Management
- A minimum of 3 years of Materials Management experience in a complex manufacturing environment or construction industry
- Advanced level of Excel and at least 2 years of hands-on MRP system experience; JD Edwards experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills and passion for working with numbers
- Effective communication with production and shipping/receiving personnel
- Able to work in an office or production/warehouse area throughout the day
- Excellent computer skills: MS Office and Outlook
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and function effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow and interpret written work instructions and prioritize tasks independently
