Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Operations Assistant will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate inventory of raw materials in the plant, guaranteeing sufficient and timely supply to production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and analyze discrepancies in raw materials and finished goods
  • Stay up-to-date with production reports and ensure accuracy in the MRP system (JE Edwards)
  • Prepare reconciliation reports from various sources
  • Conduct daily inventory tracking and adjustments
  • Perform daily and weekly finished goods cycle counts
  • Monthly inventory for raw materials and finished goods
  • Raw material inventory preparation, count sheet creation, and upload in JDE
  • Process work orders and closure on a weekly basis
  • Communicate effectively with Purchasing, Customer Service, and Planning teams for orders and inventory numbers
  • Maintain meticulous manual filing

Requirements:

  • College Diploma in Supply Chain Management
  • A minimum of 3 years of Materials Management experience in a complex manufacturing environment or construction industry
  • Advanced level of Excel and at least 2 years of hands-on MRP system experience; JD Edwards experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and passion for working with numbers
  • Effective communication with production and shipping/receiving personnel
  • Able to work in an office or production/warehouse area throughout the day
  • Excellent computer skills: MS Office and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and function effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow and interpret written work instructions and prioritize tasks independently
