Physician Assistant

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in the Emergency Department at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.
Responsibilities- Obtain comprehensive health histories and conduct thorough physical assessments to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Order diagnostic tests and interpret results to inform patient care.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that align with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants Scope of Practice and National Competency Profile.
- Provide patient education and support to promote health and wellness.

- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program in Canada or the United States.

- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
- Membership with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants.
- Medical Liability Insurance required.
- Recent emergency medicine experience.
