Job Summary

We're looking for a Journeyman or Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker to install assemblies, including pipes, HVAC ducts, flashings, and furnace casings in supportive frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a customer service mindset, strong written and verbal communication skills, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Install assemblies, including pipes, HVAC ducts, flashings, and furnace casings in supportive frameworks
  • Respond to service calls and troubleshoot and repair identified issues on site while exceeding compliance standards
  • Maximize efficiency while fabricating and installing HVAC systems
  • Trim, file, buff, grind, and smooth metal surfaces and joints of parts using hand tools to ensure safety and a seamless appearance
  • Select and order the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specifications
  • Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, bolts, and metal driver clips ensuring that bonds will last
  • Maintain and repair sheet metal components of HVAC equipment
  • Communicate candidly and professionally with customers, building trust and repeat business
  • Complete Work Orders and other administrative paperwork in a timely fashion
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • Qualified in Alberta as a Journeyperson Sheet Metal Worker, or 3rd or 4th year apprentices
  • Customer Service Mindset
  • Class 5 Driver's License with a clean abstract
  • Strong Written/Verbal Communication Skills
  • Leadership abilities and a focus on team
