Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fibre Optic Splicer to join our team at Trinity Communication Services Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for splicing and testing various types of fibre optic cable, troubleshooting system problems, and performing other duties as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Splice and test fibre optic cable to ensure high-quality connections
  • Troubleshoot system problems for customers and provide solutions
  • Operate splicing and testing equipment to ensure accurate results
  • Document all required information as work is performed
  • Perform other duties as required by departmental manager

Requirements:

  • Ability to carry and climb a 28-foot extension ladder weighing 80 pounds
  • Well-organized and able to work individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to work at heights near hydro and in confined spaces
  • Ability to set up and work safely on high-traffic roads according to Book 7 standards
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, day, night, or weekends with possible overnight stays
