Job Overview

Position Summary:
Arcadis is seeking a dedicated individual to join our transportation division in Ottawa, focusing on transportation engineering within the realm of urban development. This role primarily involves conducting Transportation Impact Assessments and Parking Studies to support various development proposals to local authorities in eastern Ontario. Additionally, there will be opportunities to engage in transportation infrastructure design projects, including roadways, intersections, and light-rail transit systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Supporting senior engineering professionals with the following tasks:

  1. Conducting Traffic Analysis
  2. Performing Data Analysis
  3. Engaging in Technical Research
  4. Preparing Technical Reports and Visual Exhibits
  5. Assisting in Proposal Development

Required Qualifications

Education & Skills:
Applicants should be enrolled in their 3rd or 4th year of a Civil Engineering degree program, with a specialization in transportation engineering. Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, are essential. Familiarity with software tools such as Synchro, Adobe Illustrator, and Visual Basic for Applications is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly with advanced functions (macros, logic), is beneficial. Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation is also a plus. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are considered assets.
