About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Woodstock Grocers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the flow of goods and materials across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Assign projects and programs to the purchasing and warehouse departments, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies, ensuring optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Budget Planning: Plan and control budget and expenditures, ensuring alignment with company objectives and financial goals.
  • Operations Management: Plan and organize daily operations, ensuring smooth execution and minimal disruptions.
  • Contract Management: Review purchase order claims and contracts to determine compliance with company policy, ensuring timely resolution of any issues.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, direct, and motivate staff, ensuring a high-performing team that meets company expectations.
  • Purchasing Policy Development: Plan, develop, and implement purchasing policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.
  • Quality Control: Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services, ensuring optimal value for the company.
  • Contract Authorization: Authorize the development of specifications for products or services, ensuring alignment with company requirements.
  • Contract Management: Manage contracts, ensuring timely execution and minimal disputes.
  • Claims Processing: Review and process claims against suppliers, ensuring timely resolution of any issues.
  • Data Analysis: Oversee the analysis of data and information, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Reporting: Oversee the preparation of reports, ensuring timely and accurate communication of key metrics.
  • Senior Management Support: Advise senior management on logistics and supply chain matters, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Lead sales team in building relationships with business clients and manage negotiations of sales contracts, ensuring optimal revenue growth.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimal waste.
Requirements
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and MS Outlook.
  • Area of Work Experience: Purchasing, procurement, and contracts.
  • Specialization/Experience: Negotiation.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, attention to detail, and a large caseload.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, initiative, judgment, and a team player attitude.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
