Position Details:
This is a Casual position, meaning that hours may vary, providing flexibility in your work schedule. The typical working hours are from 08:30 to 16:30 on weekdays.

Compensation:
Effective April 1, 2024, the hourly wage for this position will be $28.31.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Nursing Unit Clerk, your duties will include:

  • Prioritizing, processing, coordinating, and transcribing physician orders;
  • Serving as a communication hub for the unit;
  • Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments;
  • Maintaining and assembling patient charts, entering data into electronic health record systems;
  • Performing clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, and report generation;
  • Keeping accurate timekeeping records for staff;
  • Responding to patient call signals and relaying messages to appropriate personnel.

Application Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must provide:
  • Proof of completion of Grade 12;
  • A current Typing Test demonstrating 40 wpm or greater, completed within the last 48 months;
  • A valid Nursing Unit Clerk Certificate;
  • A comprehensive Resume;
  • A Cover Letter detailing your availability.
